…. memory is life. Our moral duty to the past, our obligation not to treat it as a tourist attraction, provides the path along which we, mostly, stumble into our future.
… substance, busy, complex, meaning, self-importance, presence, passion, anger,
deterioration, threat, mortality, loss, rhythm, dysfunction…. rhythm as dysfunction,
discordant, nostalgia, nostalgia as a basterdisation of the past, loss of meaning,
impotence, love, loss of love, the end of the affair, security as survival, distance,
distance from…. question, passion, focus, noise, substance, nostalgia – quiet….and
insubstantial. Nothing.
… memory is life. To be unable to forget anything though, would be close to a living hell.
