It is the sea that gives, to the sky a word, a whisper is the rivers breath
The river sighs and thunders to the oceans calm there is always passing in a gift
So here I stand, on the other side of appearance – shaped by the worst and best of man
But to be alone, with such beauty… a perfect moments kiss
A fire to burn the oceans, a storm to empty seas
The well of souls reaches out, empties… then leaves
And like that favourite song, you drift through my thoughts
Familiar, though unrevealed
As silent as you arrived, you leave… like waves crashing over me
And all the skies rage at the footsteps left, on shores now shadowed… bereft
And still the waves, though quiet now, they are leaving… another to seek
So here I stand, unable to turn – clouds darken, impatient to leave
I want to be your sea again, but just the rain washes over me…
